Ticket Refunds

All sales are final. Tickets will not be taken back for a refund unless an event is cancelled or rescheduled.

If an artist cancels an appearance, Opening Nights at Florida State University will make every effort to substitute that performance with a comparable artist or reschedule the performance for a later date. Patrons will have their tickets refunded and will be informed of options to purchase tickets for the rescheduled date, if available.

Service and delivery fees are never refundable, even if an event is cancelled or rescheduled.

Opening Nights will not cancel performances or refund tickets because of inclement weather. An artist may choose to cancel or reschedule a performance if weather prevents the artist’s arrival in Tallahassee, but that decision rests with the artist and not with Opening Nights.

Tickets are a revocable license and may be taken up and admission refused upon refunding the purchase price. The holder of tickets agrees not to engage in photography or reproduction in any form of the event for which tickets are issued. Violation of the foregoing will automatically terminate the license.

Service and Delivery Fees

A $1-per-ticket service fee is applied to all online, phone and walk-up orders, including tickets purchased at the venue immediately before the performance.

Service fees are waived for Opening Nights’ sponsors and members at the Producer’s Circle, Partner, Friend and Associate levels as a part of their Concierge Ticketing Service benefit.

There is an additional $5-per-order service fee for mail delivery.

Service and delivery fees are never refundable. 

Lost or Misplaced Tickets

Lost or misplaced tickets may be reprinted. Contact the Opening Nights Ticket Office by phone at 850-644-7670 or via email at openingnights@fsu.edu to obtain duplicate tickets.


Patrons are encouraged to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled performance start time to manage parking, ticketing, will call, etc.

Late seating is not guaranteed. Latecomers to events will be seated in accordance with the artist’s preference or at the discretion of the Opening Nights House Manager and ushers.

Photography Release

Ticket holder grants permission to use the holder’s image or likeness in connection with any photograph, video or other recording means for transmission, broadcast or promotional use on any media.

Children and Families

Opening Nights offers many performances enjoyable for audiences of all ages. Children attending events must be able to sit quietly in their own seats throughout the performance. Those that are unable to do so, along with the adult accompanying them, may be asked by an usher to leave the performance. Every person regardless of age is required to have a ticket. No babes in arms are allowed.

Full-time college students and children under the age of 18 are eligible for $10 Student Rush tickets that can be purchased on the day of the show in the Opening Nights Ticket Office during normal business hours (10 am to 4 pm) and at the venue 1 hour before the show. For performances on the weekend, Student Rush tickets can be purchased in the Opening Nights Ticket Office the Friday before the performance during normal business hours (10 am to 4 pm) and day of performance at the venue 1 hour prior to the show. Student Rush ticket sales end 15 minutes before the performance start time.

Student Rush tickets exclude family performances and are available at every venue except Pebble Hill Plantation.

All student and children ticket purchases are final.

Food and Beverage

Opening Nights venues prohibit food and beverages in the performance unless otherwise noted. However, cash bars are offered at many performances in the lobby one-hour prior to the published start time. Be sure to check OpeningNights.fsu.edu and pre-performance emails for more information.

Pursuant to s. 817.36, Florida Statutes, tickets may not be resold for more than $1.00 over the original admission price.
