The King’s Singers

The King’s Singers came into Tallahassee and didn’t waste a moment of their time! The King’s Singers did a double feature of engagement with our Leon High School students.

First, for the public performance, The Leon High School Madrigal Singers joined the group on-stage for And So it Goes Billy Joel, arr. Bob Chilcott The Leon High School Madrigal Singers was established in 1966. The group comprises of highly-selected and auditioned junior and senior members of the Leon Choral Department.

The following day, The King’s Singers returned for a massive masterclass with Capital Singers, another highly talented group from the department. With more than 80 singers on stage in, more than triple that number in the audience, the room was full of excitement as many students got to experience a masterclass for the first time.

“The King’s Singers’ unique style and magical blend were unlike anything most of our students had ever experienced, and the interaction with the actual singers on the following day was an educational experience that they will not soon forget.  We were so happy to host them.”Michael W. Bryan, Principal of Leon High School
